Pick Up Your Pens! Poetry Workshop with award-winning poet Laura Boss for children ages 7-11 at the River Edge Library will be held on Wednesday, APril 20, 2-3:30pm.
The workshop is limited to 30 participants, so make sure to register early by calling the Library at 201 261-1663.
The author introduces the various forms of poetry and reads from her own work. Ideas for poems are presented, and the writing begins. Students share their work in lively discussion, followed by a revision and editing session. Participants will leave with a finished, edited poem, and a strong sense of the poetry-making process. Suggested readings are included.
