Letter: Support of Moscaritolo, Murphy and Papaleo

Support River Edge volunteers and vote for the River Edge Democrats

Dear Editor:

I have never before written a letter to the editor, but this election I am moved to action. For the last year, I’ve seen almost every volunteer in town attacked by the Mayor of River Edge and some of the Council Members.

Beautification, Recreation and our Volunteer Fire Fighters are just a few of the hard working volunteers who give hundreds of hours to make our town better. Yet these people are attacked with accusations, disregarded and undermined.  Our volunteers are the cornerstones of our community. Instead of trying to tear down wonderful and successful programs, our leaders should be addressing real problems like sharing services. Volunteers are the best value in our budget because they work for FREE!

That is why I am supporting Kathleen Murphy for Council.  I’ve known Kathleen for many years and she is a true blue volunteer. Kathleen is not afraid to roll up her sleeves and work for the betterment of our community. She is not one to sit high up at a table and politic. She will work side by side with our volunteers to make sure our town is beautiful and prosperous.

I ask you to join me in supporting Kathleen Murphy and her running mates Tom Papaleo and Sandy Moscaritolo. We want to thank our volunteers, not beat them down!
