The basketball program will present a night of Motown, Soul and Rock n' Roll on Saturday, Nov. 26. The evening of music and fun will not only feature the hometown musicians Sherrod Barnes, Kevin Ward, The Van Cleaves and Ted Gregory but also two-time Grammy winner Roberta Flack. Flack is best known for her hits, "<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_Me_Softly_with_His_Song" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Killing Me Softly with His Song</a>" and "<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Where_Is_the_Love" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Where Is the Love</a>". According to her <a href="http://www.robertaflack.com/biography.php" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">biography</a>, she received a music scholarship at age 15 to attend Howard University. After being discovered while singing at the Washington, DC nightclub Mr. Henry's by jazz musician Les McCann, she was promptly signed to Atlantic Records.
