Municipal Budget to be Presented at Oradell Council Meeting Tuesday, and More This Week

There will be a public presentation of the 2013 Oradell municipal budget on Tuesday at 7pm in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall. After the presentation, the Mayor and Council will vote on it. If approved, the budget will then be adopted.

Oradell's proposed 2013 Municipal Budget calls for an estimated total local levy (municipal and library) of $11,177,602.

With the recent assessment, the average price of a borough home is $472,343. Formerly, the average home price was $531,722. 

The proposed budget showed Oradell homeowners paying an estimated total average annual increase of approximately $497. This total includes the municipal, library, schools (regional & local) and county & county open space. The breakdown is:

• Municipal & Library = $173.47
• Local School = $26.77
• Regional High School = $253.45
• County & County Open Space = $43.24

During Tuesday's presentation, the final budget numbers will be reported and voted on by the mayor and council.
