River Edge Native Takes Field with North Jersey Eagles

Bergen Catholic alum Ray McCourt is one of 10 athletes from Bergen and Passaic County who will compete during the summer league

This summer baseball fans from across Bergen County will be able to watch their favorite alumni compete with the North Jersey Eagles of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League at Overpeck Park in Ridgefield Park. And on this year's roster is alumni and River Edge native Ray McCourt (catcher).

The 6'1" junior at Molloy College picked up First-Team All-North Jersey Recognition in 2007 with the Crusaders and then went on to  the County College of Morris, where he won All-Region and All-Conference kudos.

As part of the Molloy Lions, he was recently named to the 2012 All-East Coast Conference Baseball Team after batting .287 on the campaign, with 25 RBI and 15 runs scored. He also posted eight walks, ripped seven doubles, and swiped three bases. From behind the plate he has a .970 fielding percentage.
