Road Construction in Oradell Begins

Motorists should expect traffic delays from 8am to 4pm

This week, construction work for the installation of a new sewer pipe is expected to create traffic delays at the already busy intersection of Kinderkamack Road and Oradell Avenue.

Initially construction work was to begin Nov. 20 and end Dec. 2 but had been delayed.

The pipe installation will take place on weekdays from 8am to 4pm. While students will be in school during that time, work will be taking place during drop-off and pick-up times for parents. The exception is Tuesday and Thursday when Oradell Public School will be holding parent-teacher conferences with an early 12:30pm dismissal for students.

The sewer pipe construction work is part of the borough's larger sewer project for Bellis Parkway. The entire Bellis Parkway project has been estimated to be completely finished by March 2012, according to Borough Engineer Marisa Tiberi.
