The Week Ahead in River Edge and Oradell

Governor hosting Town Hall Meeting in Bergenfield.

Governor Chris Christie is hosting an open town hall meeting Tuesday in Bergenfield at Conlon Hall, St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 19 North William St. Doors open at 2 pm and the meeting will begin at 3 pm. The public is invited to attend, but seating is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis. No bags of any kind are permitted in the venue. Personal items are subject to search.

Here's what's going on in River Edge and Oradell this week:

RIVER EDGE

Monday:

The Mayor and Council will hold their work session at 7 pm in Borough Hall. On the agenda is KBG Lighting--open space, Bergen sandstone blocks -- Cherry Blossom Park and Grove Street--redevelopment planner and borough engineer will be present for this. Click here to see a full copy of the agenda.

Wednesday:

The National Math and Science Honor Society's induction will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm in River Dell High School's Media Center and Auditorium.

Saturday:

There will be a clean-up of the Hackensack River at Kenneth B. George Park in River Edge from 10 am to 2 pm.

ORADELL

Monday:

Walk to School Day in honor of Earth Day at Oradell Elementary School.  

The Historic Committee will be meeting at 7:30 pm.

Tuesday:

The Mayor and Council will be meeting on Tuesday, April 23 at 7 pm in Borough Hall.

Bergen Catholic High School is hosting an open house for students grades 5 to 8 from 6:30 pm to 9 pm.

Wednesday: 

The Oradell Board of Education is meeting at 7:30 pm in the Oradell Public School.

The Oradell Recreation Committee will be meeting at 7pm.

Saturday:

Bergen Catholic is hosting the Freshman-Sophmore Semi-Formal in the The Hoehl Gym at Bergen Catholic from 7 pm to 11pm.
