Thursday in River Edge, Oradell: A Night at the Zoo

Thursday nights are meant for the zoo. At least they are at the Bergen County Zoo at Van Saun Park. Each Thursday during the summer, the zoo is open from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. through Aug. 29 to host their Summer Nights at the Zoo series. During each presentation, zoo staff will introduce children to a different topic of interest--from dinosaurs to wild pets. 

Tonight's presentation is Know the Bear Facts with Michelle Smith from the DEP. It begins at 6 p.m. at the Education Center. This program teaches participants about the natural history and biology of black bears in N.J. Smith will also presents and audio-visual overview about coexisting with black bears. 

This series is free with admission.

The Bergen County Zoo can be accessed from Continental Avenue in River Edge or Forest Road in Paramus.
