Call for Candidates for River Edge Board of Education

The River Edge Board of Education has two three-year positions available. To be eligible, a candidate must fulfill the following requirements:

• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen
• At least 18 years old
• Have the ability to read and write
• One-year residency prior to the November 5, 2013 election
• No interest in any contract with or claim against the Board
• Be a registered voter in the district
• Not disqualified as a voter under NJSA 19:4-1
• Not hold office as Mayor or member of the governing body of the same district.

Petitions are available in the Board office located on the second floor of Cherry Hill School, 410 Bogert Rd, or from the Bergen County Clerk, Election Division, One Bergen County Plaza, Room 130, Hackensack, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The petitions must be filed with the Bergen County Election Division by 4 p.m. June 4, 2013.
