Week Ahead: T-Rex Comes to Oradell; Students Join Continental Army

On Thursday if you happen to see Continental Soldiers outside of OPS don't fret because the school is not going to war. Instead the Oradell PTA, is sponsoring A Day in the Life of a Continental Soldier" right on Memorial Field. for the fifth grade classes. Joe Ryan, a noted Living History teacher, instructor, and re-enactor will be "inducting" the students into the Continental Army and putting them through their paces with activities such as erecting their camp tents, following orders, and going through basic drill commands. He supplies them with cartridge boxes, mock rifles, and tri-corner hats.

Incase you didn't get to check out the grand opening of yet then you are in luck as a 15-foot T-Rex will be coming to the Oradell Library on Saturday, 12pm. 

This week the Oradell Mayor and Council have a 7pm work session at Borough Hall on Tuesday evening while the town Board of Education is scheduled to convene at 7:30pm on Wednesday in the OPS media center.
