• After Adoption Collapses, Two Rescue Dogs Face Return to High-Kill Shelter (tapinto.net) — Two young rescue dogs now in Roxbury face being sent back to a high-kill North Carolina shelter if a local adopter isn’t found soon. Succasunna resident and Morris County Surrogate Heather Darling is urgently seeking qualified homes, noting the bonded siblings are affectionate, trainable, and best suited for adults or families with older children. 
• Roxbury High School Choir Serenades Rotary Club, is Showered with Cash (tapinto.net) — Roxbury High School’s Madrigals and Classic Sounds choirs recently kept a beloved local tradition alive by performing holiday music for the Roxbury Rotary Club at the Citizens Bank Theater in Succasunna. Rotarians answered trivia, sang along to carols, and happily handed over cash, culminating in a generous donation check to support the student singers.
• Ice Hockey: Three stars and daily stat leaders from Dec. 13-14 (nj.com subscription) — Roxbury hockey fans can celebrate senior forward Michael Nelson, who scored an overtime game-winner to give the Gaels their first victory of the season in a 1-0 thriller over Bernards-Somerville-Middlesex. The roundup also spotlights standout performances from Chatham and Johnson-Dayton-Roselle Park players and lists statewide stat leaders from the Dec. 13-14 games.
