2-Alarm Sea Bright Fire Displaces Family, Damages Hardware Business
Two trapped occupants of the building were removed via ladders as firefighters worked to contain the blaze to two rooms, officials said.

SEA BRIGHT, NJ - An apartment building fire in Sea Bright on Friday displaced a family of four and damaged a business on the ground floor.
The two-alarm blaze was reported at around 10:30 a.m. at 1092 Ocean Avenue, according to CentralJerseyFire. Two trapped occupants of the building were removed via ladders from the Sea Bright Fire and Rescue Squad, the rescue team said in a statement.
A “quick knock of the fire” from members of the squad managed to keep the blaze to two rooms, and the fire was put out within two hours, the squad added.

The New Jersey Red Cross’ Disaster Action Team assisted a family of four with temporary lodging, food, clothing and “other immediate needs” in connection with the fire, Red Cross officials said.
Four individuals were treated by EMS personnel at the scene; a minor injury to a member of service was also reported.

A downstairs business, Brian’s Hardware, was also damaged in the fire, the store’s owners announced on Facebook, adding that the business will be closed for a few days for clean-up.
"We will have a better update in the coming days," the store owners said. "Thank you again for everyone’s support. There is really no place like Sea Bright!"
