1. Grab Your Shades: According to the National Weather Service, today is expected to be a beautiful beach day! There will be mostly sunny skies with a high near 80 degrees. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 70 degrees.

3. Pens and Paws: After appearing on the NJ News 12 show The Pet Shop, author Allie Larkin continued her book tour with a stop at  in Fair Haven. During the signing, she was joined by Libby Cook and some of her rescued pets from Mostly Shepherds, the non-profit organization devoted to finding good homes for German Shepherds and other pets from shelters. 4. Fresh Meat: News students will be heading to for their orientation today. With school right around the corner, the students will be getting comfortable with the building, meeting their future classmates and getting ready for their first day of high school on September 6.

5. Almost Fair: Excitement is building for the annual Fair Haven Fireman's Fair. As you drive down River Rd. it is clear from the colorful rides and games that the opening is just days away.
