1. Cloudy with a Chance: According to the National Weather Service, today will be cloudy with a high near 61 degrees and a southwest wind between 9 and 15 mph. Showers are possible throughout the day and into the evening. Tonight will be cloudy with a low around 55 degrees and a southwest wind between 11 and 14 mph.
2. Fall Foliage: It’s early November, and fall is in the air. Mother Nature did fast-forward to winter five weeks into the fall season with a snowstorm Halloween weekend which postponed trick-or-treating in some New Jersey towns – followed by two weeks of Indian summer weather in which the temperatures have reached almost 70 degrees, perfect for strolling the beach or simply hiking the two-river area to see the leaves change color. 3. Privatizing Bridges: Monmouth County will privatize the operation of its movable bridges in 2012. The Board of Chosen Freeholders unanimously approved a one-year, $1.485 million contract with Florida-based Drawbridge Services, Inc. during its meeting at the building in Freehold last Wednesday. 4. Marathon Man: Many Rumson and Fair Havenites can be seen running the streets of the two river area preparing for marathons.
