1. Fabulous Fall: According to the National Weather Service, today will be a gorgeous sunny day with a high near 66 degrees. There will be a north wind between 5 and 8 mph becoming calm. Tonight will be clear with a low around 54 degrees and a south wind around 5 mph.

2. Lock it Up: Police in both and are asking residents to remember to keep their cars locked once again. Two cars were stolen from Fair Haven and three cars were stolen from Rumson. 3. Go Pink or Go Home: For 7th grade student, Abigail Kelly, the topic of Breast Cancer awareness is close to home. That is why she decided to hold a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness Month selling t-shirts she designed. She plans to sell the t-shirts for $15 and pink bracelets for $1 all weekend at the Pop Warner Football Games at . Click for more details.

4. Saying Good-bye to an Innovator: The Macintosh sign was left dark outside the Freehold Raceway Mall Apple Store Thursday. According to a Freehold Apple Store employee, locations across the country did not light their iconic signs in remembrance of Steve Jobs, the company’s co-founder who died of pancreatic cancer on Wednesday. 5. High Holy Day: When the sun sets on Friday, October 7, Yom Kippur begins. This is the holiest holiday of the year for Jewish reidents in Rumson and Fair Haven. Yom Kippur lasts for 24 hours and will end when night falls on Saturday, Oct. 8. will have special Yom Kippur Yizkor Service at 4:15 p.m.This community service is free and open to the public.
