1. Rain Drops Keep Falling on My Head: Grab your umbrella and rain boots. According to the National Weather Service, today will be cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 73 degrees. There will be an east wind around 11 mph. Tonight the storms continue with a low around 68 degrees and an east wind between 6 and 9 mph.

2. Growing and Giving: The Knights of Columbus, Red Bank Council 3187 on Fair Haven Road, has served numerous charities and has recently been able to help more in need. That’s because of a recent spike—in membership and fundraising activities—has allowed the Knights to expand its charitable giving. 3. Cheap Perscriptions Coming: Monmouth County residents will be eligible for prescription drug discounts through a new wellness program, officials announced last Thursday during a press conference at the Office of Aging in Freehold Borough. The county has partnered with Financial Marketing Concepts, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., to make the company’s Coast2Coast Rx card available in Monmouth. The free card provides discounts on brand name and generic drugs when presented at a participating pharmacy. Click for more details.

4. 9-1-1 What's Your Emergency? Monmouth County’s emergency service response system debuted in a closet in the Hall of Records in 1936. Over 75 years later, the county’s 9-1-1 operations will be housed in a 45,000-square-foot facility in Freehold Township. Click for details and see photos from the ground breaking ceremony.

5. Harvesting Some Yum: Celebrate the best of NJ's harvest with Bob Sickles, David Burke & Chef Larry Baldwin every Wednesday & Thursday in September and October as they create a weekly changing, 4-course menu for $ 40 per person, based on all the good things from Sickles Market in Little Silver.
