1. Rain and Wind: According to the National Weather Service, today will rainy becoming heavy at times and a high only reaching near 69 degrees. There will be a northeast wind between 10 and 15 mph. Tonight the rain will continue and there could possibly be a thunderstorm. There will be a low around 62 degrees and an east wind between 13 and 15 mph.
2. Hurricanes a Brewin':Hurricane Katia may -- or may not -- make some weather for coastal New Jersey by next weekend. Forecasters believe the storm, which is now near the Leeward Islands, may track by Hatteras Island in North Carolina before heading more northeasterly, but predictions do not so far show the storm making landfall along the Atlantic. 5. 9/11 in Schools: A new curriculum guide written by volunteer educators and people affected by Sept. 11 aims to teach students about terrorism, bullying, war, and hatred in a constructive and sensitive way. According to one of the creators, the idea of the curriculum is to better educate the children of this state on the difficult issues of terrorism and hatred, because through greater understanding comes solutions to ending them.
