Back To School: Rumson, Fair Haven, RFH Regional Districts' Calendars

RUMSON-FAIR HAVEN, NJ — Back-to-school planning is well underway in the Rumson and Fair Haven elementary school districts, as well as the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School district, and the 2022-2023 school calendars can help parents and students prepare for the new school year.

In the Rumson School District, grades pre-K to eighth grade, students return Sept. 6. Here are some important calendar dates to plan for in Rumson:

• First day of school: Sept. 6
• Thanksgiving recess: Nov. 25-25, with 1 p.m. dismissal Nov. 23
• Holiday recess: Dec. 24-31, with 1 p.m. dismissal Dec. 22
• Spring break: April 7-14, 2023
• Eighth-grade graduation: June 15, 2023
• Last day of school: June 16, with a 1 p.m. dismissal.

In the Fair Haven School District, grades pre-K to eighth grade, students return to school Sept. 6. Here are some important calendar dates to plan for in Fair Haven:

• First day of school: Sept. 6
• Thanksgiving recess: Nov. 24-25, with a single session Nov. 23
• Winter recess: Dec. 26-30, with a single session Dec. 23
• Winter break/Professional Day: Feb. 10, 2023, Professional Day; Winter break Feb. 13-14, 2023
• Spring break: April 10-14, 2023, with a single session April 7
• Graduation Day: June 15, 2023
• Last day of school: June 16, 2023

In the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School District, students also return to school Sept. 6. Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School serves students in the boroughs of Rumson and Fair Haven, and approximately 1,000 students attend the school. Here are important calendar dates in the regional high school district to plan for:

• First day of school: Sept. 6
• Thanksgiving recess: Nov. 24-25, with early dismissal Nov. 23
• Holiday break: Dec. 26-30, with early dismissal Dec. 23
• Winter break: Feb. 13-14, 2023, both days for students, Feb. 13 for staff
• Spring break: April 10-14, 2023, with early dismissal on April 7, 2023
• Graduation/last day for students: June 16,2023
