RFH Boys' Varsity Golf Team has been dubbed South/Central Jersey Group II Sectional Champion.
Ending the season with a record of 15-1, the team finished first place at the Wall Invitational and Monmouth County tournaments and came in second place in the overall Group II Championships and at the Galloway National Invitational and Shore Conference tournaments, according to school officials.
After their win as the South/Central Jersey champs, the team qualified and came away from it in 10th place.
On an individual player level, senior John Edler became Monmouth County Tournament Individual Champion as well as South/Central Group II Individual Champion. Edler also won individual second-place finishes at the Galloway National Individual and Shore Conference tournaments. He placed third overall in Group II and placed 11th in the Tournament of Champions.
Sophomore Perry Litwin earned an individual fourth-place finish at the Monmouth County Tournament.
In addition to Edler and Litwin, RFH Boys' Varsity Golf Team members are: junior Jesse Bevilacqua, sophomore Jack Luby and freshman Reid Bedell.
