5 Things You Need to Know Today: Oct. 14

A round-up of useful information and events happening around Rumson and Fair Haven today.

Here is a list of 5 things you need to know today:

1. Stormy Skies: According to the National Weather Service, today will be another cloudy, wet day with a high near 74 degrees. There will be a south wind between 13 and 16 mph. Showers and thunderstorms will continue into the evening with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 52 degrees. The night will be breezy with a west wind between 18 and 20 mph.

2. Antiques and Art: The will feature the annual Two Rivers Antiques and Art Show starting with a preview tonight and running through the weekend. The Two Rivers Art/Antiques Show and Garden Tour is the major fundraiser for the Jacqueline M. Wilentz Comprehensive Breast Center (JMWCBC). The money raised from this event goes towards the development of of breast cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment. Click for details about the event.

3. Family Fun: Head over to the in Fair Haven tonight for some family fun at Bingo Night. The games are free and all are welcome to join. The event starts at 6:30 p.m.

4. Fields of Fun: Tomorrow, Forrestdale will have a re-opening ceremony for their newly renovated fields. Click for details on the improvements they made. The ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. ar 60 Forrest Ave, Rumson and will be the first time the children can play on it since they started the project at the end of the school year last summer.

5. That's a Classic: Antique cars, music and fun will take you back in time this weekend at the 11th Annual Fall Car Show. Fair Haven Fire Police (FHFP) and Womens’ Auxiliary are sponsoring the car show on Saturday, October 15 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Click for more information and to see photos from last year's show.
