Fair Haven Police To Host National Night Out Event Tuesday
The Fair Haven National Night Out community-police program will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Community Center.
FAIR HAVEN, NJ — The community is invited to the borough's National Night Out event on Tuesday, Aug. 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Community Center, 35 Fisk St.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships.
National Night Out is held in most states on the first Tuesday of August. It began decades ago with residents turning on porch lights, but it now is a community event.

"National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances," the organization establishing the program says on its website.
