Fair Haven Opens Applications For Probationary Officer Position
The deadline to apply for the job of probationary officer for the Fair Haven Police Department is Jan. 31.
FAIR HAVEN, NJ — The Fair Haven Police Department is accepting applications for probationary police officer, according to a job posting made by the department on Jan. 9.
The application process is open until the end of this month, Jan. 31.
Prospective applicants must possess a NJ SLEO II PTC certification able to be waived, or Class A PTC Certification, the department said.

Additional qualifications include:
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Must be a resident of the State of New Jersey.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be sound in body and of good health and be able to perform the physical functions of the duties assigned.
- Must be of good moral character and shall not have been convicted of any crime or offense involving moral turpitude.
Applications can be picked up at Fair Haven Police Headquarters, 35 Fisk St., Fair Haven, 07704. The office hours are Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Applications must be picked up in person by the applicant. For additional details contact Det. Dwayne Reevey at 732-403-6030.
