Fair Haven Receives Recognition from NJSLOM
The borough's "New Resident Packet" received a first place honor in the 2011 Municipal Public Information Contest.

The was recognized at the New Jersey League of Municipalities luncheon last month for their innovation with the new resident packet program.
According to , the borough received first place in the 2011 Municipal Public Information Contest in the Best Special/Innovative New Program Category.

The New Jersey League of Municipalities, New Jersey Municipal Managers Association, and Rutgers Center for Government Services jointly sponsored this honor.
The borough submitted the “New Resident Packet” into the contest this fall.

According to Casagrande, the packet contains a welcome letter from the mayor, the borough administrator’s business card, a borough calendar and a host of other important Borough information. The packet is hand-delivered, on a monthly basis, to all new residents who move into the borough.
Elizabeth Lilleston, the Borough Code Enforcement Officer, and Nancy Calore, the Administrative Assistant, spearheaded this borough program.
The ladies along with Administrator Casagrande attended the luncheon held on November 17, 2011 in Atlantic City where Governor Christie was the keynote speaker.
