Local Headmaster Presents at National Educational Conference
Rumson Country Day School Headmaster Chad B. Small spoke at the National Education Conference last week on the evolving role of a headmaster.
For the past 30 years, Headmaster Chad B. Small, has applied his passion for education to benefit his students.
Due to his many years of service, and expertise, Small was invited to Seattle, Washington on March 2 to give a presentation at the National Association of Independent Schools. Small’s presentation touched on the topic of the “Evolving Role of a Headmaster”.
One question asked in Small’s presentation was the potential role change of a headmaster.

“I think the job is switching from a head of school, meaning the lead educator, to more of a CEO type position, and is that a good evolution?”
In addition to questioning the evolving role of a headmaster, Small showcased his experience and observations while giving advice to his peers.
