Mourning Brandon Holt with a Candlelight Vigil

Mourners walked through downtown Toms River Friday night in memory of Brandon Holt, 6, who was killed in an accidental shooting earlier this week. 

Carrying white candles, community and family members walked from the Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals to Huddy Park, where the flames then were extinguished.

Among those present was Randel Holt, the victim's uncle, who said that the incident was an accident. He thanked the community for supporting his family.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Toms River, following visitation from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
