NJ American Water Main Break Closes Some Roads In Rumson: Police

A water main break on Monday continues to affect access to certain roads in Rumson, police advise.

RUMSON, NJ — NJ American Water continues to work to fix a water main break from Monday on Rumson Road near Kemp Avenue, Rumson police reported.

Police on Tuesday updated some continuing road closures:

  • Rumson Road between Bellevue Avenue and Fair Haven Road is closed.
  • Ridge Road is closed westbound from Bingham Avenue to Bellevue Avenue. Eastbound traffic is open on Ridge Road.
  • Avenue of Two Rivers southbound is closed at Ridge Road. Northbound on Avenue of Two Rivers is open from Rumson Road.

Police said motorists may experience long traffic delays when traveling in this area.
