Sandy Hook's Ocean Ave. Sea Bright Entrance Detoured

Heads up if you're visiting Sandy Hook this fall and winter: Beginning Oct. 27, the Ocean Avenue entrance to Sandy Hook will be closed from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday due to the construction of the sea wall by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. It will remain closed through March 2018 for the construction of the new sea wall.

All traffic will be diverted into Highlands, NJ to use the Highlands entrance during the closure. The park will remain open. The Ocean Avenue entrance will be open Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. to allow for school buses and staff to enter the park.
