“Fishing reefs like this one offer numerous ecological benefits, such as creating habitat for marine life, providing protection for juvenile fish, and offering recreational opportunities for anglers and reef divers,” Monmouth County Commissioner Director Thomas Arnone told the Asbury Park Press.
Construction on the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge came after Monmouth County received $31 million in federal funding for its replacement in 2020.
