Probationary Officers Sought For Fair Haven Police Department

Applications to be a probationary officer must be picked up in person at the Fair Haven Police Department and must be returned by Dec. 13.

FAIR HAVEN, NJ — The Fair Haven Police Department is accepting applications for probationary police officers.

Prospective applicants must possess a New Jersey SLEO II PTC Certification, able to be waived, or Class A PTC Certification, according to a news release from the borough.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Must be a resident of the State of New Jersey.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be sound in body and of good health and be able to perform the physical functions of the duties assigned.
  • Must be of good moral character and shall not have been convicted of any crime or offense involving moral turpitude.

Applications can be picked up at Fair Haven Police Headquarters, 35 Fisk St., Fair Haven, 07704 Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Applications must be picked up in person by the applicant.
