Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge Work Schedule Updated Through Friday
New travel lane lines were being painted in Rumson at Rumson Road near Ward Avenue on Wednesday: Police.
RUMSON, NJ — The travel advisory this week for the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge Project advises of some delays in the area, the borough says.
The bridge project activity for the week of Feb. 20 is scheduled through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, officials say.
On or about Wednesday, Feb. 22, there will be some traffic pattern changes, the town says:

- The roadway alignment in Rumson between Ward Avenue and the bridge is anticipated to be shifted to the north on Wednesday.
- Roadway users should be aware of lane shifts and possible alternating traffic during the switch to the new pattern.
- Flaggers may assist with brief traffic interruptions and uniformed police will provide traffic control.
- The sidewalk on the south side of the bridge will be closed until further notice; signage will direct pedestrians where to cross the bridge.
The town notes that navigational channel reductions are still in effect:
- The navigational channel width has been reduced from 75 feet to 65 feet. The reduction is expected to remain in effect until Fall 2023.
- Work activity will continue in the water south of the bridge on both sides of the river.
