Major Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge replacement project continues; Oceanic Bridge still under study. Oceanic was briefly stuck open Wednesday.
RUMSON, NJ — Work on the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge replacement project will continue through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., weather permitting, according to a county update.
The Monmouth County project is in the construction phase and temporary delays in the area are always possible as construction material deliveries are made, Monmouth County notes.
Meanwhile, the Oceanic Bridge late Wednesday afternoon was temporarily stuck open and was closed to all traffic, according to a police department alert. The matter was quickly resolved and the bridge reopened shortly. Police said a heat-related issue may have caused the problem.
