Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade Returns In Decade Milestone

Rumson will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a parade once again on Sunday, March 12, at 1 p.m., led by Grand Marshal Christopher D. Maher.

RUMSON, NJ — The Borough of Rumson is welcoming back the Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday, March 12, at 1 p.m., the borough has announced.

Residents are welcome to bundle up and enjoy this year's event, led by Grand Marshal Christopher D. Maher, as the committee celebrates the 10th event, the borough says.

The parade route starts on Allen Street and River Road and ends at the intersection of Carton Street and Forrest Avenue, approximately one mile long. It is anticipated the parade will last 1½ hours. Click here for the St. Patrick's Day Parade route.

Grand Marshal Maher is chairman and CEO of OceanFirst Bank N.A., having joined in 2013 as president and chief operating officer. During his tenure, he not only led the bank’s significant growth, but the OceanFirst Foundation has made $16.5 million of grants to local nonprofits during his tenure. According to the borough announcement, Mayor Joseph K. Hemphill and the Borough Council recognize Mike Maguire and the Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee and wish them a successful day.
