Severe Weather Watch In Rumson Through Tuesday: Borough Alert

With river flooding expected, the borough alerts Rumson motorists not to drive through flooded areas.

RUMSON, NJ — Rumson Borough has alerted residents to a severe weather watch now through Tuesday, with coastal flooding expected from Hurricane Ian.

Borough officials said moderate-level river flooding is expected through Tuesday, with significant increases during high tide. Rumson is situated on a peninsula, bounded by the Navesink River to the north and the Shrewsbury River to the south.

The borough reminds motorists not to attempt to drive through flood waters.
