Speed Limit On River Road In Fair Haven Reduced To 25 MPH
New signs along the road have been posted, after the Monmouth County Commissioners recently approved the speed reduction.
FAIR HAVEN, NJ — The speed limit on River Road within Fair Haven was lowered to 25 MPH.
New signs have been put up along the road, after the Monmouth County Commissioners recently approved the speed reduction at their August meeting, according to Borough Administrator Theresa Casagrande.
"The Fair Haven Governing Body is very committed to pedestrian safety throughout the Borough and working to reduce the speed limit and calming the traffic flow within our downtown area is another example of that commitment," Casagrande said.

At the direction of the Fair Haven Mayor and Council, Fair Haven Police Chief Joseph McGovern and Casagrande have spent the past year working with the Monmouth County Administrator, the County Engineer and County Commissioners to reduce the speed limit on River Road.
