Popular Union County Food Truck Opens Restaurant In Scotch Plains

The popular food truck, serving comfort food covered in the 'right amount of sauce,' recently opened a storefront in Scotch Plains.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A popular food truck business known for its hot wings, fried fish and shrimp covered in sauces made from scratch has opened its own restaurant in Scotch Plains.

The 2 Much Sauce food truck first gained popularity from selling comfort food to people in Plainfield in May of 2017. Then a second truck was created, which became a favorite among Rutgers University students.

Now 2 Much Sauce has its own restaurant located at 1719 East 2nd Street in Scotch Plains, which opened on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Chef Elijahwon Edwards told Tapinto that all of his sauces and rubs are made from scratch with fresh ingredients.

The restaurant offers a variety of sweet, spicy and buttery sauces. This includes a honey garlic sauce, a BBQ chipotle sauce, a garlic parmesan sauce and much more.

Customers can choose from a variety of meats to drench in sauce. Wings, shrimp, fish, chicken sandwiches — all served with a side of fries — are some of the options on the menu.

The restaurant is closed on Mondays, but open for 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
