Free Safety Classes Available For Women In Union County

The class is designed to build confidence, skills, and empower students to protect themselves and loved ones.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Women of all ages in Union County are invited to participate in two free self-defense courses this month.

Officers with the Union County Sheriff's Office will guide women through different moves, precautions, and strategies to reduce the risk of danger. The class is designed to build confidence, skills, and empower students to protect themselves and loved ones from threats.

Attendees should wear comfortable workout attire. Shoes will not be allowed on the mats.

Classes will be held at the John H. Stamler Police Academy at 1776 Raritan Rd. on Oct. 23 and Oct 30. In order to participate, attendees must register online and complete a waiver.
