Restaurant Week Coming Soon To Scotch Plains-Fanwood

SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD, NJ — The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Scholarship Fund Foundation is hosting its second annual Restaurant Week this November.

The week before Thanksgiving — from Monday, Nov. 14 through Friday, Nov. 18 — local restaurants in Scotch Plains and Fanwood will donate 5 percent of all profits to the Foundation, which awards scholarships to prospective college students.

“We are thrilled to continue our successful Restaurant Week fundraiser with our local restaurants,” said Joy Donaldson, Foundation Trustee, and lead organizer of the event. “The generosity of our community is what allows us to continue the mission of the Foundation. Bringing the community together at some our community’s best restaurants in a combined effort of support is one of the many reasons that make Fanwood and Scotch Plains special.”

Dine-in, pickup and direct from establishment delivery orders qualify for Restaurant Week. Orders via third-party delivery services such as UberEATS, Grub Hub, DoorDash, etc., are not eligible for this fundraising event.

The Foundation has awarded over $4 million to students since 1967, and these scholarship awards are made possible by the generosity of local businesses and members of the community.

“We are incredibly grateful for this partnership with our local businesses, which will help us give much needed financial assistance to the families of our SPF community," said Foundation President Michelle Wywra. "In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, we look forward to this event supporting our local businesses as well as the many students deserving of scholarship support."
