Route 22 Lane Closures For Repairs Set On Somerset, Union County Border For Thursday
These closures will allow for repair on Route 22 of a concrete median that was damaged during Tropical Storm Ida.
NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — Lanes on Route 22 will be closed on Thursday morning for priority repairs in North Plainfield, New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced.
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, NJDOT's contractor, Konkus Corp., will close the left lane on Route 22 in both directions between Grove Street and Newton Street in North Plainfield.
These closures will allow the contractor to install a construction barrier, creating a work zone to repair the concrete median that was damaged during Tropical Storm Ida, according to NJDOT.
