Three High Schools In Scotch Plains Make List Of Best In New Jersey
The schools were judged based state tests results and how well the students were prepared for college, according to the rankings.s

Three high schools in Scotch Plains have been ranked among the best high schools in the state according to U.S. News & World Report’s Best High Schools list.
Union County Magnet High School was ranked number 11th in New Jersey and number 235 in the nation. The school was awarded a gold medal.
Academy For Allied Health Sciences was ranked number 33 in the state and number 599 nationally.

The last of the three Scotch Plains schools to make the list was Academy For Information Technology, which came in at 46 in New Jersey and 1,362 in the nation.
Both Academy For Allied Health Sciences and Academy For Information Technology were awarded silver medals.

The top school in New Jersey was Biotechnology High School in Freehold, which was ranked number 19 nationally. High Technology High School in the Lincroft section of Middletown and Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro round out the top three.
U.S. News & World Report reviewed more than 21,000 public high schools nationwide. Schools were judged “based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college,’’ according to the website.
