UNION COUNTY: 2 Charged In Fatal Backyard Shooting

Two men have been arrested and charged for the 2008 backyard shooting in Linden which resulted in the death of 18-year-old Christopher Cummings and a wounded 24-year-old.

Faheem Bowers, 27, of Elizabeth, and the second suspect, whose name was not released because he was juvenile at the time of the shooting, are now charged with murder, attempted murder, and related weapons offenses, according to nj.com.

Both of the defendants were already in custody on unrelated charges when they received the charges.

Bowers’ bail was set at $1 million - the second defendant’s bail status wasn’t disclosed, according to My Central Jersey.
