Union County Man Charged for Alleged Sexual Assault of Female Co-Worker: Report

A 20-year-old Union man has been charged for indecently touching a female co-worker at a party while he worked as a camp counselor.

A 20-year-old Union man has been charged for indecently touching a female co-worker at a party while he worked as a camp counselor for the Lake Greeley Camp in Pennsylvania over the summer.

Michael Emeka Ekpeni is accused of pushing a 20-year-old female counselor up against a wall as she walked up the stairs and inappropriately touching her “private area” while at a party at the Stroudsburg motel in August. The victim told police she yelled “no” and pushed Ekpeni away from her, according to the Pocono Record.

The victim said Ekpeni stopped when she yelled and later apologized about the incident.

He was interviewed by police on Aug. 26, but not charged until Wednesday, Sept. 23. Ekpeni was charged with aggravated indecent assault without consent and indecent assault without consent, according to nj.com.
