Union County Teacher Shot With Paintball Gun While Leaving School, Police Say

The shooting at the high school last week remains under investigation.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A Union County VoTech teacher was shot by a paintball gun while leaving work last week, said Scotch Plains Captain David Lavery.

On June 17 at around 5:30 p.m., the teacher said they were leaving the high school parking lot, at 1776 Raritan Rd in Scotch Plains, when someone shot them once in the arm with a paintball gun, said Lavery.

The teacher suffered minor injuries, including bruising and a complaint of pain.

No arrests have been made. The shooting is under investigation.
