Watch Party: Union County Runner's Race For Olympic Gold
Locals will cheer on Sydney McLaughlin as she competes in the gold medal race on Tuesday at 9 p.m. at the Stagehouse in Mountainside.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Union County locals will gather at a viewing party Tuesday night to cheer on Sydney McLaughlin, a 2017 graduate of Union Catholic Regional High School, as she races for gold at the Tokyo Olympics.
McLaughlin easily won her semifinal heat during a rainstorm on Monday morning. Watch her Semifinal heat here.
She will now face off against fellow American Dalilah Muhammad on Tuesday at 10:30 p.m.in the 400-meter hurdle finals.

Union Catholic is hosting the Olympic Viewing Party on Tuesday at 9 p.m. at the Stage House Tavern on Route 22 in Mountainside for anyone who wants to cheer her on.
This will be an exciting race to watch as McLaughlin recently crushed Muhammad's world record when she became the first woman to run the 400m hurdles event in under 52 seconds.
