WEATHER ALERT: New Jersey Bracing As 4 To 8 Inches 'Heavy Snow' On The Way
The National Weather service has extended its winter weather advisory for the region as more snow heads this way.

The punches keep rolling in New Jersey, as the region is expected to get up to half a foot of snow Wednesday into Thursday.
The National Weather Service has extended its Winter Storm Warning for “heavy snow”, which is in effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 7 p.m. Thursday.
The winter storm warning calls for 4 to 8 inches of snow Wednesday night into Thursday. Rain will mix with sleet and snow this evening, before changing to just snow by midnight.

According to the National Weather Service, the snow may be heavy at times late tonight through Thursday morning, before tapering off Thursday evening.
The weather will create for hazardous driving conditions Wednesday night and Thursday as visibility is expected to be between one quarter mile and one half mile at times. Additionally, icy roads and snow will create hazardous travel conditions.

Here’s your forecast from the National Weather Service through Friday:
- Wednesday: Periods of rain, possibly mixed with sleet, becoming all rain after noon. High near 39. West wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. Little or no sleet accumulation expected.
- Wednesday Night: Rain and sleet before 10 p.m., then rain, snow, and sleet between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m., then snow after 2 a.m. Low around 23. West wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
- Thursday: Snow, mainly before 4 p.m. Temperature falling to around 20 by 5 p.m. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Northwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
- Thursday Night: A chance of snow before 7 p.m. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 8. Wind chill values between -5 and 5. North wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
- Friday: Sunny, with a high near 25. North wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon.
- Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 14.
