WEATHER UPDATE: Scotch Plains-Fanwood's Hour-By-Hour Forecast

As the State of New Jersey declared a state of emergency, the National Weather Service’s winter storm warning for Scotch Plains-Fanwood remains in effect through 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood can expect to see snow, mainly before 5 p.m, according to the NWS. The temperature will remain around 24 degrees, with wind chills values between 10 and 15, and possible daytime snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches.

Hazardous travel conditions will exist due to the inclement weather. The National Weather Service said, “hazardous travel conditions are possible due to greatly reduced visibilities and significant snow accumulations.”
