Boy, 12, Shoots Another With BB Gun In Secaucus
The boys both attend Secaucus Middle School. The boy who was shot was hit multiple times throughout his body, and also shot in the face.
SECAUCUS, NJ — A 12-year-old boy is accused of shooting another boy of his age with a BB gun, said Secaucus Police.
At 4:02 p.m. Friday, the boy who was shot walked into Secaucus Police headquarters, accompanied by his parents, and told police that another juvenile, a boy, had shot him repeatedly with a BB gun.
The boys both attend Secaucus Middle School. The boy who was shot was hit by small metal BB bullets multiple times throughout his body. He was also hit in the face near his eye, said police.

However, he did not need to go to the hospital, said police.
Secaucus Police investigated and arrested the 12-year-old Secaucus boy accused of firing the gun. He is charged him with two counts of Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(2)], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D] and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D].

The matter will be handled in juvenile court. The boy was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
