SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 25-year-old man from Newark for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Harrison, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Harrison PD released him on his own recognizance pending a future court date.
On Dec. 3 at 1:42 p.m., officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police headquarters and transferred custody of a 25-year-old man, Anthony Howard of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ with no bail. The warrant was issued in relation to a burglary into a motor vehicle on 10/22/2025 in the area of 101 Venture Way. After an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department, Howard was charged with Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Credit Card Theft [2C:21-6C(1)]. He was taken to the Hudson County Jail.

On Dec. 4 at 5:49 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 44-year-old man of Jersey City, NJ for shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. He was issued a complaint warrant and transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Dec. 5 at 10:07 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Union County Sheriff’s Office for the purpose of taking into custody a 48-year-old man of Newark, NJ. He was found to have one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $7,500 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Morristown, NJ in the amount of $750 with a 10% option. He was unable to post bail for any of the warrants and was taken to the county jail.

On Dec. 5 at 4:02 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Bergen County Jail to take into custody a 40-year-old man of Teaneck for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $10,000 with a 10% option. He was unable to post bail and was taken to the county jail.
On Dec. 6 at 5:43 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Red Roof Inn on Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a possible fight in progress. During the investigation, the police arrested a 53-year-old man, Carl Varriale of Montvale, NJ for Burglary [2C:18-2.2], Filing a False Police Report [2C:28-4A], Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2], Criminal Mischief [2C:17-3A(1)], Theft [2C:20-3A] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] by providing false information to the police. Varriale was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Clifton, NJ in the amount of $500 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Northvale, NJ in the amount of $267. He was taken to the county jail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
