Secaucus Police Blotter, Jan. 5 - Jan. 11

Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

SECAUCUS, NJ — Here is a look at last week's arrests, according to Secaucus Police:

On Jan. 5 at 10:08 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 37-year-old man of Union, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Middlesex borough town court in the amount of $1,000 with a 10% option. He was able to post bail for the warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On Jan. 5 at 3:17 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 65-year-old man of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1))]. He was found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Weehawken, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Police also arrested a 38-year-old of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bayonne, NJ in the amount of $6,500 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Old Bridge, NJ in the amount of $1,000. The first man was further found to have been involved in a shoplifting incident at Walmart on 12/28/2025. He was issued two complaint warrants for both shoplifting incidents, and was transported to the Hudson County Jail. The second man was able to post bail and was released from police custody.

On Jan. 6 at 11:12 a.m., while on patrol, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle stopped in the Fuel 4 gas station located at 1320 Paterson Plank Road. The vehicle was found to have a fictitious license plate affixed to the vehicle. During the investigation, the police located the three individuals who had occupied the motor vehicle. While the police approached the individuals, the three males began to flee in an attempt to elude the police. After a brief foot pursuit, the police were able to locate the individuals and took into custody a 22-year-old male, Conrad Murray of Brooklyn, NY along with a 30-year-old male, Akeem Martin of Brooklyn, NY and a 36-year-old male, James Richardson of Brooklyn, NY for Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A]. Martin was also issued 3 motor vehicle summonses. The three men were issued complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On Jan. 7 at 12:43 a.m. officers from the North Bergen Police Department responded to Secaucus Police headquarters to transfer custody of a 26-year-old man of Little Ferry, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $5,000 with a 10% option. He was able to post bail for the warrant and was released from police custody.

On Jan. 7 at 2:55 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33-year-old man of Linden, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the NJ State Commission Center with no bail. Officers from the NJ State Parole Board took custody of the man.

On Jan. 7 at 9:10 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 56-year-old woman of the Bronx, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)]. The police also arrested a 60-year-old man of the Bronx, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)], Evidence Tampering [2C:28-6(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Both were issued their complaint summonses and released from police custody.

On Jan. 9 at 1:09 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 45-year-old man of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Newark, NJ with no bail. Newark Police took custody.

On Jan. 9 at 5:19 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of Burlington Coat Factory on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested the following individuals; A 29-year-old woman of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)], Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information and Employing a Juvenile in the Commission of a Crime [2C:24-9A]. She was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Tinton Falls, NJ in the amount of $1,500. A 32-year-old woman of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)] and Employing a Juvenile in the Commission of a Crime [2C:24-9A]. A 28-year-old man of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)], Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(2)] and Employing a Juvenile in the Commission of a Crime [2C:24-9A]. A 30-year-old man of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)], Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(2)], Employing a Juvenile in the Commission of a Crime [2C:24-9A] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. The police also arrested a 17-year-old man from Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. While investigating this shoplifting incident, the police identified the 17-year-old as the individual involved in two separate cellphone thefts that occurred at Burlington Coat Factory and Kohl’s on 12/28/2025. All were issued a summons to appear in court, but the man was issued a warrant and taken to the Hudson County Jail.

On Jan. 9 at 8:20 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 46-year-old man of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 4 motor vehicle summonses and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On Jan. 9 at 8:26 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Paterson Plank Road and Harmon Meadow Blvd on a report of motor vehicle crash. Police arrested a 45-year-old man of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 4 motor vehicle summonses and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On Jan. 9 at 9:43 p.m., officers from the Garfield Police Department responded to Secaucus Police headquarters to transfer custody of a 64-year-old man of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus amount of $1,000 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Weehawken, NJ in the amount of $600. He was able to post bail for both warrants and was released from police custody.

On Jan. 10 at 11:39 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23-year-old man of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Weehawken, NJ in the amount of $600. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On Jan. 11 at 7:26 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Clifton Police Department to take into custody a 22-year-old man of Clifton, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000 with a 10% option. He was able to post bail and was released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
