Secaucus Police Blotter, June 2 - June 8

A Secaucus man, 55, is accused of hitting someone during an argument in Buchmuller Park at 7:28 p.m. Sunday.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests in town:

On June 2 at 12:13 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Meadowlands Exposition Center located at 355 Plaza Drive on a report of an employee theft. During the investigation, the police arrested the employee, a 69-year-old man of Fairview, NJ and charged him with theft [2C:20-3A]. He was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On June 2 at 5:19 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective division in relation to a burglary to a home on Grace Avenue that occurred on Feb. 5, 2025, police arrested a 21-year-old male, Nasir Solomon of Irvington, NJ for Conspiracy to Commit Burglary [2C:5-2A(1)], Conspiracy to Commit Vehicle Theft [2C:5-2A(1)], Burglary [2C:18-2.2], Burglary [2C:18-2.2], Theft of a Motor Vehicle [2C:20-10.1A], Burglary [2C:18-2.2], Conspiracy to commit Burglary [2C:5-1A(1)], Conspiracy to commit Vehicle Theft [2C:5-2A(1)] and Motor Vehicle Theft [2C:20-10.1A] and Motor Vehicle Theft [2C:20-10.2A]. Solomon was being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility at the time the charges were issued.

On June 6 at 4:02 p.m., a juvenile male entered Secaucus Police headquarters and reported that another juvenile, a boy, had shot him repeatedly with a BB gun. Following an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department, police arrested a 12-year-old male of Secaucus and charged him with two counts of Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(2)], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D] and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D]. The juvenile male was issued his juvenile complaint summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On June 8 at 7:28 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Buchmuller Park for a report of disorderly conduct. It was reported to the police that during an argument, one individual struck another individual in the face. During the investigation, the police arrested a 55-year-old man of Secaucus, NJ for Simple Assault [2C:12-1F]. He was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On June 8 at 9:07 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the ramp from Rt. 3 east to Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a stopped motor vehicle in which the driver of the vehicle appeared to be asleep. Police arrested a 52-year-old man of Jersey City, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
