Secaucus Police Blotter, June 30 - July 6

A Secaucus woman was arrested at the Red Roof Inn on Meadowlands Parkway July 3:

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On July 1 at 8:31 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 26-year-old man, Christian Paredes-Gonzalez of Brooklyn, NY for Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle [2C:20-10.2A]. He was issued his complaint warrant along with two motor vehicle summonses and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On July 2 at 2:20 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 26-year-old man Shamonn Freshley of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC criminal warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals with no bail. Freshley was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Freshley was issued his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses. Officers from Homeland Security responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and subsequently took custody of Freshley.

On July 3 at 12:04 a.m., Secaucus Police observed two suspicious individuals in the area of the Red Roof Inn on Meadowlands Parkway. One of the individuals, identified as a 25-year-old female, Dixie Taylor of Flushing, NY was arrested for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the NYPD with no bail along with 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Ramsey, NJ in the amount of $1,000 with a 10% option. Taylor was further charged with being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10], Being Under the Influence of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10B(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Further investigation led to the arrest of a 43-year-old male, Arthur James of Chicago, IL for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A], Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police along with a 48-year-old male, Jason Barry of Ridgewood, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A] and a 38-year-old female, Amber Saccoccio of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Ms. Taylor was issued her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. Mr. James, Mr. Barry and Ms. Saccoccio were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On July 3 at 4:18 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the CVS on a report of an individual who shoplifted at the CVS and then ran out of the store. The involved male was located in the area of Roosevelt Avenue and 2nd Avenue. Once located, the police arrested a 39-year-old man Brenn Mcdaniel of Teaneck, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Mcdaniel was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Teaneck, NJ in the amount of $1,500. He was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On July 4 at 12:02 a.m., the police responded to the 700 block of Hudson Avenue on a report of an intoxicated individual. Police arrested a 41-year-old woman, Odalisa Perez of Secaucus, NJ for Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer [2C:12-1B(5)(A)] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)]. Ms. Perez was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On July 5 at 11:57 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 63-year-old male of the Bronx, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodbridge, NJ in the amount of $2,500 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Denville, NJ in the amount of $400. Officers from the Woodbridge Police Department responded to Secaucus and took custody of the man for transport to their agency.
